About the Program
Many people in the learning business don't have graphic designers to create their own visuals. During
this session you will learn how to select, use, and evaluate visuals that support learning. You will be
given quick tips and tricks on how to create engaging and motivating visuals. You will learn how to
customize your clip art and photos by leveraging PowerPoint's graphics capabilities. In addition, you will
learn how to find free or inexpensive resources to create your visuals.
At the conclusion of the session participants will be able to:
- Identify well designed visuals based on cognitive learning theory
- Use four principles of visual design to select and create graphics that support learning
- Use color to achieve major impact
- Customize clip art and stock photos in terms of color, size, and graphic elements
- Create custom graphic elements by using PowerPoint drawing features
- Locate free or inexpensive resources for graphics
